As you know, our clubroom gets pretty packed as new members bring their gear into the clubroom, kicking off the training season, and former members depart, leaving discarded wares behind. So, it’s time for a good spring clean.
Please either remove your gear from the public areas for the next month or identify them with a tag using the painter’s tape provided.
On May 25th, we will have a Club Room Clean-up Workparty between 10-12. Any unidentified stuff in the public areas, will be sorted either for potential reuse by club members or chucked out then and there. While we are at it, we will also do some sorting of redundant equipment and tools, and give the room some TLC. So please come on down and volunteer for a couple of hours.
Gear for reallocation will be sorted into three piles: $25, $10, and free. If you are interested in taking any of the gear, please add an entry in the logbook on top of the cash box (in the kitchen, across from the venerable fridge) with your name, item description, the cost, put the money in the box and take the item. There will be a limit of two items per member (people who come to the clean-up will get the first picks 😊). If they overlooked it, a member is allowed to reclaim anything that has not yet been taken, for free.
Anything still remaining by Sailpast in June will be free for the taking, first come, first served – so remember to come early to Sailpast.
Following this, anything still remaining will then be donated or tossed.
Any questions or to volunteer for the 25th please send me a note at Secretary@Vikingsailingclub.bc.ca
Happy removing and tagging.
Cheers
Cliff
